King William Street CE Primary School

  1. Our School

Welcome Message

I joined King William Street Church of England School in September 2024 and was immediately struck by the family and community feel the school has.  Being the oldest surviving school in Swindon, it has a uniqueness that can only be truly felt as you walk around the building, with its quirky corners and characterful spaces.  Children, staff and parents are proud of its heritage.

The school welcomes children from all faiths and those with no faith at all, but our Christian ethos and values thread through all we do.  These are important characteristics for life and we want the children of King William Street to leave knowing the value of: - courage, respect, friendship, truth, trust and compassion.

Academic achievement and children achieving their potential is a fundamental foundation to lifelong learning and this school strives to make sure that the children leave here rich in knowledge and with the skills they need for the next stage of their learning journey.  We look forward to working with you in partnership to make this a fulfilling and exciting chapter for both you and your child.

Children at King William Street are taught about being a valuable member of society and we have strong links with our local church and other community centres in the local area.  We are proud of Swindon and we are proud to be at the centre of our Swindon Community.

Please make an appointment to come and have a look around.  I believe that you too will be struck by the family and community feel the school has.

Best wishes, Ms Tucker
